Cooking!!!

Saturday 15.11.2008,

Hello again!

How are you doing? I hope the grey weather doesn't get you sad. On this cold weather is nice to stay home and to have a hygge time, isn't it? Actually, me and Judit have been doing this for a week. In the last week we took part at many hygge breakfasts and dinners. Last Thursday we had a german breakfast cooked by our friend Sarah. To be onest was a really big breakfast with salmon fish, omelette, jam and bread, and we didn't need to have lunch, we were enough filled up. We spent a nice time eating and having a girls disscution:). And I was quite curious to taste a german breakfast.

This time we were served by Sarah, she cooked for us, but on Saturday we cooked for Carsten's uncles some traditional food. They invited us to their house and they've got all the ingredients we needed for our meals.

So we went in Aabenraa on Saturday evening and we had a big romanian-hungarian dinner with Carsten, his parents and his uncles. I cooked cauliflower with mayonnise (made by hand) and garlic as an appetizer and romanian doughnuts as a dessert. I could have the opportunity to taste a delicious hungarian meal prepared by Judit: chicken (prepared in oven with nutmeg) with mashed potatoes and pickled cucumbers. It was a great meal and a great evening. Carsten's family enjoyed our food they really liked it. We ate quite much that evening but we also had timeto talk a little bit about the culture of our counties. And of course we are verry happy that we could show them a part of our cuisine.
